About Jackie Mosqueda-Jones

Jackie Mosqueda-Jones is the current Osseo Area School Board Treasurer (since November 27, 2018).

She is a compassionate teacher and active community member who fiercely believes in advocating for ALL students. She has worked with a diverse group of students of all ages at several Osseo Area and Columbia Heights schools.

She is running for re-election for the Osseo Area School Board in order to continue advocating for families from all races, cultures, religions, abilities, home languages, gender identities, gender expressions, socio-economic status, and all other identifying characteristics.

  • Taught in schools throughout Osseo School District, 1999-2011.
  • Led Professional Development in Diversity and Equity for Osseo Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) Teachers and the Minnesota Association of Family and Early Educators (MNAFEE).
  • Served on equity and diversity committees in Osseo and Columbia Heights school.
  • Collaborated with Special Education Teachers, including co-teaching
  • Taught in an immigrant and refugee family literacy program for several years
  • Work on equity team examining behavior referral rates and racial over representation
  • Ongoing work on equity team to employ LGBTQ+ friendly practices in education
